Grand Easter Exhibition

The Yarra Glen Art Show has returned to the Yarra Valley this Easter once again at our wonderful venue: Balgownie Estate. The display space allowed up to display 400 works of art. On our eigth year, the event has expected to attract new artists from the Yarra Valley and beyond. We will once again to make a substantial contribution with our commissions from the sale of artworks to the Good Friday Appeal for the Royal Children's Hospital - results will be posted when tallied.

Our opening night had 210 people purchase $7931 worth of art - details are in 'The Art Show' link to the left. Thank you for your participation and support. This year's show had:

More than fifty volunteers work very hard to set up the show supervise the event. Local merchants provid financial support as do many keen patrons of the arts from around our valley.

A cheque for $3,154.60 has been sent to the Good Friday Appeal - Royal Children's Hospital. This money was raised directly from cash donations and commission on the sales of paintings. In addition, $845.40 was raised from two 'money boxes' at the entrance to the Art Show which brings the total donated to the GFA-RCH to $4000! Congratulations and thanks to all those involved in making this wonderful event such a success.

Many thanks to the Bendigo Bank for their donation of $3424.20 to cover the replacement costs of equipment lost during the bushfires.
